JCA Connect-A-Ride Call Center Solution

Zip Zap IT Solutions awarded 1 year contract supporting the JCA Connect-A-Ride, Sr. Help Line and CAR-NOVA programs by providing software development and Operations and Maintenance support for a custom software development of call center online solution. Connect A Ride is a Montgomery County program provides subsidized taxi trips for low-income persons with disabilities and seniors. To be eligible for the Call-n-Ride Program, you must be low income and at least 65 years of age or low income and 18-64 years of age with a disability. Subsidy assistance is provided on a sliding fee scale determined by total household income. The service helps transport participants to medical and/or personal appointments. This program is designed as a supplement to Montgomery County’s local transportation service.

Department of Education Enterprise Program Management Office (PMO) support

Zip Zap IT Solutions awarded 1 year contract supporting the U.S. Department of Education (ED) to provide the Department's Office of Chief Information Office Information Technology Program Services (ITPS) Enterprise Program Management Office (PMO) support. The goal of the Enterprise PMO is to advance program and project best practices producing predictable outcomes through the application of expert governance and oversight. Zip Zap IT Solutions provides Enterprise Project Management Office (PMO) services and support that include: Governance, Performance Management, Schedule Management, Financial Management, Risk, Issue, and Scope Management, Quality Management and Communications Management.

Department of Education Open Data IT Solution Feasibility Study

Zip Zap IT Solutions awarded 1 year contract supporting the U.S. Department of Education (ED) to conduct an assessment of the ED's current open data needs and capacity and IT infrastructure for supporting open data. Based on information attained through this assessment, the contractor shall recommend a flexible, scalable, and integrated IT approach to store and make data readily available to internal and external users that also supports two- way public feedback and user analytics. Specifically, the IT approach should (1) provide a means for Department data owners to centrally host and disseminate data quickly and efficiently; (2) build upon the capabilities of ED’s Data Inventory, Public Data Listing, and Data Landing Page to provide public access to bulk data through a centralized portal; and (3) incorporate mechanisms to enable two-way feedback with data users.

Department of Education Impact Aid System (IAS)

Zip Zap IT Solutions awarded 3 year contract supporting the U.S. Department of Education (ED) in the full range of IV&V activities required to verify and validate the software development life cycle of the ED IT projects. ZipZap will provide an objective, independent assessment of the state of the system and its ability to support the intended goals of the program. The processes cover all the IV&V activities defined under the IEEE standard 1012, which encompasses all software life cycle processes including acquisition, supply, development, operation, and maintenance processes. The activities will help determine whether development products of the IAS contractor conform to the stated requirements and meet their intended purpose.

Department of Education Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA)

Zip Zap IT Solutions awarded 5 year BPA contract supporting the The U.S. Department of Education (ED), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) intends to secure a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for Principal Office (POs) for expert resources to provide Program Management Office (PMO) and Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) services in support of the ED's major and non-major IT investments. Projects are governed by the ED's Capital Planning and Investment Control Process (CPIC) which is managed by the Investment and Acquisition Management Team (IAMT) in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO).

Alaska National Guard SharePoint Migration

Zip Zap IT Solutions awarded 1 year contract supporting the Alaska National Guard. The project entails the migration of SharePoint 2007 to 2013 in 3 months to meet Alaska Army National Guard require SharePoint 2007 shutdown no later than (NLT) 31 December and one year support. The portal serves as an information dashboard and the nexus for collaboration, document exchange and workflow automation between Alaska Army National Guard brigades, battalions, units, subordinate units, and partner agencies that share access to the National Network and intranet. The portal will provide a standardized information dashboard and customizable workflows at every level using SharePoint built out of the box functionality and hierarchically layered templates.

Small Business Administration (SBA) Solutions Architecture (SA) Multi Task Award

Zip Zap IT Solutions was awarded 3 year contract supporting the Office of Government Contracting (GC) and Office of Entrepreneurial Development (ED) in Solution Architecture.
SBA-GC selected Zip Zap IT as a partner to provide Solutions Architecture support, oversee and guide GC Information Systems Solutions and Design for HUBZone and ED EDMIS System. Zip Zap IT will provide guidance focus on component modeling and component interactions - the intent is to provide a structure (solution) across systems and subsystems area taking into account modeling principles (isolation/layering/separation of concerns etc) using the enterprise principles and guidelines guidance, knowledge transfer, training and hands-on support in helping to maintain and improve upon the Program Offices operations.

Small Business Administration (SBA) Project Management Office and Solutions Architecture (PMO-SA) team

Zip Zap IT Solutions was awarded 3 year contract supporting the OCIO achieve change to a more centralized model by creating a PMO-SA team to assist OCIO implement its vision of providing a centralized service infrastructure in order to serve the needs of SBA Program Offices. The SBA OCIO is focused on implementing OMB governance and recommendations for efficient IT operations, and moving from a federated model in which SBA Program Offices (POs) have been responsible for development and upkeep of their own IT assets to a more centralized approach. The OCIO will oversee development, operations, and maintenance of the agency’s information technology assets and become an “IT service center” for other POs, providing them the “services” related to development, maintenance, and operations of IT assets that are specialized to the functioning of each PO.

The PMO team provides project management, analysis, and design to support OCIO’s delivery of efficient, mission-critical IT solutions. Both the PMO and SA teams support the development of projects that are defined by business requirements, project constraints, and available technology options. The SA team also assists the SBA Chief Architect with agency-wide information technology needs, system and solution design and implementation, initiatives, policies, processes, governance, and documentation.

Small Business Administration (SBA) Web Support

Zip Zap IT Solutions was awarded 5 year contract supporting the CIO achieve this change to a more centralized model, but is flexible enough to support other approaches during the RFP performance period. Supporting the OCIO’s strategic direction, we focus on:

Process: Implementing a highly-accountable Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process, aligned with the SBA Software Development Methodology (SDM), and with special emphasis on quality, documentation, and source code/configuration management.

Architecture: Streamlining architecture and design of applications and databases, publishing reusable service interfaces to applications, and enabling reuse/repurposing of information assets, to reduce duplication and overlap between applications.

Department Of Veterans Affairs (VA) Enterprise Solution Architect

Zip Zap IT Solutions in Partner with Merlin International delivers to the VA an Enterprise Anti-Virus (AV) Host-Based Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS) Anti-Spyware Anti-Malware Solution for 450,000 devices, to include the following services: project management, engineering, systems architecture, technical documentation, certification, testing, deployment testing, implementation, and full Operation and Maintenance (O&M) to sustain the AV HIPS Anti-Spyware Anti-Malware Solution.

The effort includes all necessary hardware and software components to protect every desktop, laptop, and server in the VA OIT enterprise with antivirus, anti-spyware, anti-malware and host- based intrusion prevention software with up-to-date signature files. The solution will need to include Disaster Recovery, Continuity of Operations Plan, and full back-up capabilities. Zip Zap and Merlin provide a seamless solution with a five 9 SLA (99.999%).

Zip Zap IT Solutions supports the Small Business Administration Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), with the implementation of agency-wide Big Data Initiative. Aiming to make the most of the fast-growing volume of digital data, the Obama Administration today announced a “Big Data Research and Development Initiative.” By improving our ability to extract knowledge and insights from large and complex collections of digital data, the initiative promises to help solve some the Nation’s most pressing challenges. Making sense of these volumes of Big Data requires cutting-edge tools and ­technologies that can analyze and extract useful knowledge from vast and diverse streams of information yet protecting Personally identifiable information (PII). Zip Zap IT is guiding the SBA in design, implementation and publishing of web services to the public.

U S Marshal Services Human Resources Division (HRD)

Zip Zap IT Solutions was granted positions to continue support of the US Marshals Services (USMS) Rapid Application Development for the Department of Justice USMS. Prior to 2014, Zip Zap IT partnered with IntelliDyne, Inc., and assisted the USMS with their Human Resources Division (HRD) Applicant Tracking System using CMMI level 2 for process improvement and assessment for software development, maintenance and operations.

U S Marshal Services Rapid Application Development (RAD)

Zip Zap IT Solutions helped the US Marshal Services (USMS) to implement Rapid Application Development (RAD), a software development process that allows usable systems to be built in as little as 90-180 days. Principles behind the RAD reason that in certain situations, a usable 80% solution can be produced in 20% of the time and funding that would have been required to produce a total solution. The business requirements for a system can be fully satisfied even if some of its operational requirements are pending a second release. Zip Zap IT has implemented CMMI level 2 for process improvement and assessment for software development, maintenance and operations.

HHS Grants.Gov

Zip Zap IT Solutions is a key implementer for GDIT and now DMI in supporting the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to establish www.Grants.gov (a 2002 President’s Management Agenda initiative to improve government services to the public), using CMMI level 3 for process improvement and assessment for software development, maintenance and operations.

The concept has its origins in the Federal Financial Assistance Management Improvement Act of 1999, also known as Public Law 106-107. Public Law 106-107 has since sunset and is now known as the Grants Policy Committee (GPC). Creating an e-grants unified system across 26 US federal agencies, which included 165 interactive forms for Search, Find, and Apply of all grants through a unique single system that validates and delivers grant applications from the applicant to the agency.

NAVSEA Contract Management Tracking System

Zip Zap IT Solutions, in conjunction with GDIT, for the United States Navy, NAVSEA, Carderock Base, has been key in the architecture, business analysis, and implementation of the United States Navy’s Contract Management Tracking System (CMTS). We managed all aspects of the task system design, connectivity design to interface with PMRS, system requirements gathering and engineering to reside on the MNCI system.

USDA Food Programs Reporting System

United States Department of Agriculture Food Programs Reporting System (FPRS). The system included 110 forms, including Women Infant Children, Food Nutrition, Food Stamps forms and the submission mechanism process.

The primary function of FPRS is as the collection point for Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) program activity information and enables data reporting by FNS Program participants (grantees). The system permits users to integrate, review, and approve workflow structure. FPRS also provides complete historical data and supplies financial and participation data to National Data Bank for fiscal financial approvals.

Globemed Health Management

Zip Zap IT Solutions consulted, designed and Implemented an e-business portal for Third Party Healthcare Administrator (TPA) and telemedicine solutions in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). In addition, we set up primary and secondary data centers in Lebanon and Ivory Coast and managed Information Technology projects and program centers for Medicare and Medical Services for the country.
